The HERMIONE calls at Bayonne!
This unique ship, an authentic replica of an 18th century three-masted ship
The Hermione is a tall ship with a great history: in 1992, the Hermione-Lafayette association was created on the initiative of a group of maritime history enthusiasts with the aim of reconstructing an identical frigate from the end of the 18th century in the heart of Rochefort's historic arsenal.
This ship is the only witness to the great era of the sailing navy.
For the first time since the frigate has been sailing, it is open to visitors during this refit.
The Hermione - La Fayette Association, owner of the ship, wishes to share this stage in the life of the Hermione with as many people as possible. This is why an exhibition has been created and installed on the quay, while the ship continues to be accessible to the public during the work.
Mediators and volunteers are present on the deck to answer all visitors' questions.
